Acclaimed by the San Francisco Chronicle as “beautifully expressive and technically polished,” international award-winning soprano Jennifer Cherest captivates audiences with her "Met Opera-like singing." She has appeared on PBS's special "Cincinnati Opera at 100" and has made her mark with prestigious companies including Washington National Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Opera Omaha, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.  Jennifer has performed on the Metropolitan Opera stage as a semifinalist with the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and has received top honors in various international competitions, including the Francesc Viñas Competition, Licia Albanese-Puccini International Vocal Competition, the Giulio Gari International Vocal Competition and the Fritz and Lavinia Jensen Competition . Her journey began in her local church, shaping her into the versatile performer she is today. Jennifer has excelled in the pops repertoire, gaining popularity with orchestras and pops concerts around the country. A multi-faceted artist, she thrives in crossover and world-music genres, from Goliov’s "Ayre" to Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady. Offstage, Jennifer enjoys training horses and practicing yoga. She currently resides in Cincinnati with her husband Christian, sons Gavin and Camden, and her horse Dali.
